No, those are keeping us from exploding and other messy business. I'm referring to the way the gods seem like they're trying to protect us. They're fools to think we'd bow down and blindly follow them. That's never changed. But right now, we're a drain on them they can't afford. With all worlds possibly being at stake it would be better to let us do what comes naturally to us. Fight for our own survival. Their reluctance to let us do those things could cost all of us our lives.
Oh! Oh, my, no. I don't want to explode! That's the last thing I want to do. So you would rather they let us into the fray of our own will? What exactly kept us from fighting at the start?
I'm sick of sitting around like we did in the session. Look what basket cases that made us into. Do you want to sit here or get into it and solve things with your own hands?
I know and I'm sorry for my part in that. To answer the question before, what kept us from fighting is the gods keep telling us things after the fact. You missed out on being trapped inside your own dreams while your body walked around trapping others. And other such interesting times.
I know. It's fine, it isn't here and we shouldn't bring it here.
Aaah, so they withheld information! That makes sense. They are the ones in power, so they only release information on a "need to know" basis, determined on what they think we need to know. While they are quite hospitable, letting us all come here, that does sour my opinion of them a bit.
I can see their side of it but look where such methods got me in the past. Relying solely on playing it close to the chest shuts out a wealth of opportunities.
I can see that now even if it is admittedly kinda hard to fuckin swallow. I have an ego to content with, I think they have the same issue.
I honestly couldn't tell you. I've said I'm willing to work with them, what they decide is what they decide.
We're in agreement about the hands need revealing and likely will be. This isn't going to get better and when survival is on the line, people aren't gun shy about ensuring they'll live.
The problem to me is we won't know what's ahead. It's never stopped us before but the gods need to stop hiding shit. That in itself is the problem and some part of me thinks they don't know what's ahead either.
Well...honestly? How could anyone know? This whole situation seems awfully precarious. The slightest movement from any side could send everyone into oblivion - that sort of thing. In that case, it's better to keep what you do know close and play it safe. But there's so much at risk...
That's exactly why we're having this conversation. From my experience, you keep who you care about close and decide what risks to take. This won't be solved without risks, but some of it can be weathered by being smart.

I try not to remember that I have more awful things in store for me on a daily basis, you know. That too can drive someone up the wall.

And it complicates matters, too.
I would think there would be more revealing of hands, so to speak, in the future. Right?
Hoo hoo! Then who do you think will crack first?

Why do I have the feeling this will end in disaster if people are allowed to go gun crazy.

We just have to be the lookouts while everyone else loses their heads.

That makes a lot of sense.
So what sort of risks should be taken, in your opinion?
