The problem to me is we won't know what's ahead. It's never stopped us before but the gods need to stop hiding shit. That in itself is the problem and some part of me thinks they don't know what's ahead either.
Well...honestly? How could anyone know? This whole situation seems awfully precarious. The slightest movement from any side could send everyone into oblivion - that sort of thing. In that case, it's better to keep what you do know close and play it safe. But there's so much at risk...
That's exactly why we're having this conversation. From my experience, you keep who you care about close and decide what risks to take. This won't be solved without risks, but some of it can be weathered by being smart.
