Well, I didn't seek to make much of a big deal out of it, considering it was nearly over by the time we crawled out of that wretched hive of scum and villainy. But yes, I am now officially seventeen years old! :B

I would congratulate you on being one year away from official adulthood but I have a sneaking suspicion that the age of majority in Johto may be different.

Well hopefully I have a full lifetime of birthdays to make up for this one.

Even if it is, I don't think I'll try out anything too adult-like until I make it to twenty one, and that's still a ways off. There's time for me to be a kid yet!

Very true. Though you'll find the older you get the faster the years go.

You will also find that being an adult involves less of being adult-like than you perhaps think it does.

It may depend heavily on the adult, but I would hazard a guess that even your father had more fanciful indulgences. For instance, I collect deformed jellybeans.

Well, he was quite well known for his love of hats. And shaving, shaving has always been very important to him.
And we both adore comedians and practical jokes!
So oddly shaped candies aren't too strange a collection.
