Ring, ring...ring, ring... beep!
Hello! You've reached Jane Crocker. Sorry I couldn't pick up at the moment, but if you could please leave your name, number, and a brief message, I'll get back to you as soon as possible!

[Meat, all day every day. Although Dimitri is relieved to say that he likes rice, too. Thank Goddess for that distant Dagdan heritage.]
I will also try to contribute a good deal as well, of course. Since this is my idea.... At any rate, I have heard that the 26th is good, and I thought we might do this event in Goldenrod. A friend of mine says the parks there are nice, and so I thought they might be fitting. Oh - yes those sounds lovely. Felix likes the, ah, the rice balls with the fish inside of them... You know how he is.

[Video] I think the tag might've repeated itself but it's fine no worries
The parks are very nice - I'd say the National Park in particular would be best, but there are smaller local parks here. I shall plan accordingly for the 26th!
[A pause.]
Um, incidentally, Dimitri, are you alright? You look...very tired.
[video] dw no
[...Oh yeah, that. Dimitri blinks slowly.]
I... forgot to bring Kent with me while we were on the road.

[Let Kent nom your bad dreams, buster]

[Dimitri adjusts the camera, turning it slowly (if clumsily) to show the packed sleigh he's currently riding on, and then the pair of large Raticate that are determinedly pulling it along. The ground is apparently still soft enough that it's not too much of an issue yet....]
[Still, Dimitri knows it's a matter of time. He will have to get something while they are staying in Olivine...]
They're okay pulling all of that?
You see, from what I understand, Cofgodas, Hob, and Sooter were all once a part of the same mischief, and they worked quite hard on gathering things larger than themselves.
When they evolved into Raticate, I gave them a smaller sled to pull along - when there were not quite so many of us. They started to work on pulling that, and it was a step forward in terms of strength training. Additionally, they would do it one at a time, initially, before I had them work together.
The sleigh is of course much larger, and carrying more on it... But I believe they've adjusted rather well to it. Of course, it is far easier when there is an abundance of snow on the ground, and so the lack of friction helps them greatly... When we stop in Olivine, I would like to see about getting wheels to put onto the sleigh. Apparently it is capable of having replacements for that, or so I was told? But I do not know for sure...
[He guesses they'll see.]
It also helps that they do not pull the sled constantly. We take breaks for all of us, of course, and some of the other Paliens from Felix and Sylvain's teams also take over.
But Raticate are stronger than one might think... Fitting, perhaps, considering they regularly chew through steel and stone. Cofgodas is especially rather sturdy, in a way I did not expect.
Jane listens and nods appropriately, though she is still hoping that, like...the Raticate crew knows what they're doing and don't push themselves too far. Not that she thinks Dimitri would force them to do anything they didn't want to, but like. Them rats love him.]
Well, it does sound like you're taking precautions...and wheels will definitely come in handy when there isn't any snow. It's still got to be the most unique method of travel I've ever seen.
It would not have been my first thought either... But it was something that simply happened rather naturally. When I bought the sled secondhand, the only Paliens I had which were large enough to pull it comfortably were my Raticate.
Well, this is a strange place.
Even so, I usually hear of people employing more horse-like Pokemon for the job. But if it works, and they want to do it? Then I say keep on keepin' on.
Anything else of a similar size, such as cows and the like, are found to be more valuable for other things such as milk, or meat. And so naturally one would be inclined to horses, or those that look like them.
However, here, well... It's quite different. So I think that anything which is inclined to helping with this kind of matter- [Whups, yawn] - they could.
Ah, am I keeping you too long? I could go if you're tired.
Oh, no. No. I have simply not been sleeping well, because of a foolish mistake on my part.
Ah, I see...well, um. Have you had any coffee or tea yet?
[Yes, give this man caffeine, that'll be fine.]
I was actually. told to go to have a nap on the sleigh.

[okay he's hanging up now and maybe will actually sleep now]
